From shadowed depths to radiant bloom, lotus flowers symbolize quiet strength through transformation. With soft, glowing petals opening toward the light, this painting invites reflection on beauty as we emerge after renewal.
I was inspired to paint this after visiting a pond on the Hammond-Snyder Loop trail near Rancho San Antonio County Park & Open Space Preserve in Cupertino. Abundant lotus flowers were blooming in early May 2025.
